This page explains how you can commission your very own piece of real stained glass. Bear in mind that each piece is individually designed and it is not possible to give exact prices before any design work is done. You will never be expected to commit your hard-earned cash until you’re completely happy with what we’re planning to make for you.

How’s it done
First you will have an idea. Your ideas can be as vague or specific as you like, and at this stage we can offer advice as to feasibility and some basic design considerations. For most windows and panels it is often a good idea if we visit you in your home to see where the piece is to be fitted, which allows us to see how much light will be reflected and transmitted. This visit is not essential, and where possible we will send you glass samples to ensure you’re happy with the selection of glass for your situation.
We will then come up with a first draft design, for which we use specialised computer software. This speeds up the design process considerably, and
importantly means we can make modifications easily, because the chances are, you won't be 100% happy with the first draft and will want to tweak something here and there. (It also happens that we are never 100% happy with the first design, but that's just because we are perfectionists!)
With the draft design, and each subsequent version we will provide a firm price quotation based on that design. Unless modifications are considerable this will be the price you pay for the finished piece.
Pricing
Size and complexity (generally number of pieces) are the main factors which determine the price, also any special glass or finishes and installation requirements.
Price Guideline - for windows and most 2-dimensional pieces over 0.3 sqm (3 sq feet), the usual range is from £500 to £1000 per square metre (£46 to £93 per square foot). Smaller pieces generally work out more expensive for a given size because fixed parts of the cost become a larger part of the total.
Design Fee / Deposit - The design fee is included in the price, and we require payment of a non-refundable deposit of 25% (minimum £50) before we commence work, when we have agreed the final design with you. Balance of the price is payable upon completion.

Manufacture Manufacture can take anything from 4 up to 8 weeks from the date you tell us to go ahead. When your stained glass is ready we'll contact you to arrange delivery and installation (as required).
And then all you have to do is enjoy your purchase...
